Christine and Dave’s wedding started early on a snowy, cloudy November day. With an 11:00 ceremony, there was concern about their guests’ traveling to the Church of St Peter in Mendota Heights. However, God did not disappoint, and the skies cleared to a beautiful blue, allowing this couple and family to unite under His grace and love on what would be a perfect day. With their adult children and grandchildren standing beside them, their extended family and friends in attendance, their new life began!
Christine wanted a celebration that reflected not only their love for each but also for their family. Spending a day with all her daughters, new and existing, they choose complementing dresses of navy and burgundy, but suited well to each of them. Christine wore an amazing dress of bridal ivory, which we set off with a bouquet of blush roses, red tulips, blue thistle and burgundy hypericum berries.
We carried these colors and simplistic, yet elegant, theme through to the decor at the Edina Country Club, where a brunch reception followed the ceremony. Decorating the already gorgeous venue with multiple smaller arrangements, we were able to carry Christine’s exquisite style throughout the rooms.
There is much to be said about being asked to design for a couple finding each other in the middle of their lives, but here we will say “thank you” for allowing us to participate in your joy as you started this new adventure!
